It all happened on a serene evening of Sunday, May, 21, 2023 in North London, UK, in the local area, I saw a young man with the initials: J.E passing by, with such excruciating pain and could hardly walk as he ought to, from my observation of his physical appearance!
As soon as I fastened my eyes upon him, I was stirred by the Spirit of God to stop him and share the Good News of Jesus with him and demonstrate the healing power of the LORD to set him free!!
Like the Apostles, Peter and John in Acts 3:3, I got him to fasten his eyes on me with this question: “Young Man, do you know Jesus can FREELY heal your back right now?” He stood there gazing at me painfully awe-stricken! At that very moment, his jaws, speechlessly got stuck!
I asked another question: “Do you know who Jesus is?” He just stood there speechless!
He anxiously waited for the next cue from me! I did not waste time sharing the Gospel in its simplest form by using “Jesus at the Door” model with him (www.jesusatthedoor.com).
After sharing the Gospel and asked him whether he was ready to accept Jesus as his Lord and Saviour to get healed by the Lord, the guy blatantly answered that he still could not understand why he needed to accept Jesus for “FREE HEALING” John 5:5-7
At this point, I was reluctant to progress with the demonstration of the healing power of the LORD! As far as I was concerned, I had finished my labouring task of sharing the Gospel and ready to take action as Jesus said in Matthew 10:14 with these words:
If they don’t welcome you, quietly withdraw. Don’t make a scene. Shrug your shoulders and be on your way. 14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, as ye go forth out of that house or that city, shake off the dust of your feet.
I was not going to be rude as a labourer of the Lord Jesus to make a scene nor take off my shoes to shake off the dust unto this young man!
As I quietly turned around to say goodbye to him, I heard the Holy Spirit: ‘Come down for him and explain the FREE HEALING OF JESUS to him!’ This time, my jaws, got speechlessly stuck, waiting for the Holy Spirit cue for this assignment!
The young man, with a typical ‘chauvinistic’ look in his eyes, wondering to hear and see whether he could get away with the FREE HEALING PACKAGE of JESUS, waited anxiously for me.
At that precise moment, the Spirit of God took over!
The Work of the Holy Spirit
7 Nevertheless I, [Jesus] tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper [Holy Spirit] will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore, I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.
I explained to the young man about how as human beings we have been programmed from birth to old-age by the world’s education system that nothing is free! I gave him practical everyday-life examples of how one could not walk into the grocery shop or get on the bus free! I explained to him that although in the UK, the NHS is offered freely to the citizens of the nation and even to foreigners as kind humanitarian gestures in dire life-saving circumstances, ill patients may not get the best treatments when compared with the HEALING POWER OF JESUS!
The Holy Spirit touched the young man’s heart and mind and he opened his mouth and said: “I will accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour so He could set me free from my back pain”

The Demonstration of the Healing Power of Jesus
With Joseph’s permission, I placed my hand at his back and prayed for him and he immediately stood up straight. I took his hand and walked with him, repeating after me each step, ‘Thank You Jesus, for healing my back’. After some few steps, Joseph walked totally healed. We exchanged telephone numbers and to this day, I have a son in the LORD.

Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. Matthew 4:23
As the sun went down that evening, people throughout the village brought sick family members to Jesus. No matter what their diseases were, the touch of his hand healed everyone. Luke 4:40
When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, they that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Mark 2:17
But Jesus lives on forever, and His work as Priest does not pass on to someone else. Hebrews 7:24
We can freely declare that Jesus our Great Physician heals all manner of sicknesses and diseases. Matthew 8:17, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. Isaiah 53:5, And with his stripes we are healed.
